Neuro-OCT-Publication in Top downloads of Biomedical Optics Express

From October-December 2024, the publication “Microscope integrated MHz optical coherence tomography system for neurosurgery: development and clinical in-vivo imaging” by Wolfgang Draxinger from Prof. Robert Huber's research group was one of the most frequently downloaded articles on Biomedical Optics Express.

The paper was written as part of a collaborative project with the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) and the Medical Laser Center Lübeck (MLL) and describes the integration of the MHz-OCT technology into a surgical microscope for neurosurgery. The aim of the project is to transfer the use of optical coherence tomography (OCT) for the detection and delineation of brain tumor tissue into clinical application during neurosurgical procedures.

The publication is open access and can be downloaded free of charge.
