Cluster of Excellence "Precision Medicine in Chronic Inflammation" approved

We appreciate the positive decision of the DFG for the cluster of excellence PMI (Precision Medicine in Chronic Inflammation) of the University of Kiel. We particularly value the integration of our research at the Institute of Biomedical Optics in several subprojects of the cluster. In the context of the cluster of excellence with millions of funding biomedical optics amongst others is to be investigated as a tool for individual diagnostics and treatment control. Thus, the Institute of Biomedical Optics will substantially contribute to the success of the cluster over the coming years.
